The Chasing of the Thrill

The unbridled fury of our planet has long drawn our enthralled gaze.  As a species we are possessed by an insatiable need to examine and understand the world around us.  Sometimes in order to protect ourselves by controlling those things that imperil us.

Sometimes just  to hurl a cry of defiance into the face of an indomitable foe.

One such adventurer who who travels the globe in search of "new frontiers of exploration", as he describes it, has circled the globe, exploring "all 7 continents and 70 countries".  The photographs this man has taken are breathtaking, even when the weather and conditions refused to cooperate.

You *must* go see the incredible body of photos in his gallery.  He's covered just about every phenomenon that nature has in her bag of tricks, and gotten some stunning photographs and video from wildly dangerous places and situations.

He was on the road with Tom and Donald Dolan at the time of this writing, and was posting images of his coverage of the season's storms.
